The myth of Gemini

Gemini is Castor and Pollux, the twin sons of Leda — one mortal, one immortal. The twins were inseparable, hunters, boxers, riders of horses. When Castor was killed in battle, Pollux could not accept his brother's end. He begged Zeus to share his immortality with Castor. Zeus agreed: they would share one life between them, alternating — one day on Olympus, the next in the underworld, forever together and forever apart.

The tension the myth describes — two natures that cannot be unified, love that must contain separation, a life lived in alternation — is the core Gemini pattern. Not duality as confusion.
